She worked with us to fit fixtures into our small and non-standard space, including finding an economical way to create a custom vanity. The suppliers and contractors she found for us were excellent! This was not easy since the project was done over the holidays. Cheryl was essential to the birth of our wonderful new bathroom! I highly recommend her.

In 2016 we embarked on remodeling our 30 year old bathrooms (2) and kitchen. The bones of the craftsman-like house were pretty good but there was more wood than tile. So, as we entered the world of tile, Cheryl was there to help us. She worked closely with us before the actual design to get to know us and our house. That continued with her work with the general contractor and tile sub, as she guided us in selecting and designing tile choices, color, size, layout and coordinated it with our granite vanity and kitchen countertops. Cheryl also listened to our questions and reactions to design suggestions. Without her design savvy and knowledge of local tile sources I believe the outcome for our remodels would not have been as satisfying. Besides all the good stuff above she was fun to work with! I hired Cheryl to draw up plans for a detached Accessory Dwelling Unit at my home in Goleta. Cheryl was easy to work from the start, worked closely with me to design an efficient, functional studio unit given unique space constraints, and was quick to make edits as needed. The resulting plan set was very complete, and easily achieved approval. I would highly recommend Cheryl for any residential project.
We used Cheryl Fontana for our backyard landscaping project. I saw a picture in a magazine of a fireplace that I wanted to duplicate on our back patio, and Cheryl came through with every detail in making that happen! I think it looks better than the picture. She was thorough with communication, measurements, drawings, and managing my contractors. She worked with the city for permits, and Together we picked out stone and tile. Cheryl also helped with landscape plants. Cheryl took time to inspect every phase of the project so that no mishaps arise. We had discovered a leak in the shower of our Master Bathroom that would require the shower to be ripped out and rebuilt. My wife and I had some rough ideas of what we would like a shower to look like, but we didn’t know how to bring our vision to reality. After talking with several contractors, we were told either that what we wanted could not be done, or we got bids that were beyond reason. After talking with some friends about our shower dilemma, they introduced us to Cheryl. Cheryl had worked with them in the past on some projects and they recommended her to us. After our initial meeting with Cheryl we knew right away she would be the one to help us. She worked with us to design a new shower and bathroom, pick out tile, stones, and colors. After that, she then did drawings for our new bathroom. She then took care of scheduling the contractors and oversaw their work to make sure it was correct.
When it came time for us to paint the exterior of our house, we immediately called Cheryl to help us. She did such a fantastic job on our bathroom, that we knew she would do an awesome job on our house exterior. She came over to the house and talked to us about what colors would look good and go with our new roof. She then drove around the neighborhood with us, looking at different houses that we liked to get color ideas. After all that we picked out a few different colors with her and then she brought over swatches with the colors so we could see what it would look like on different parts of the house. After choosing the colors she coordinated with the painters and carpenters to make all necessary repairs and get the house painted. After the house was painted she did a quality check to make sure all the painting was done correctly. Afterward, she then picked out the colors of the gutters and downspouts. We have gotten several compliments on our house from all of our neighbors. We could not be happier with her advice and guidance in our home projects. We will not hesitate to call her again for our next home project.
